THERE has been a rise of 36 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in Somerset in the latest 24 hour period.
The total rose by 17 in Somerset West and Taunton up to 5pm yesterday (Wednesday).
There were increases of seven in Mendip and South Somerset, while the total was up by five in Sedgemoor.
The district totals in the county council area now stand at SWT 602; Sedgemoor 494; South Somerset 457; and Mendip 267.

Apologies for anyone who saw our earlier figures - Public Health England initially issued a much higher total for Mendip.
