THE total number of Covid-10 cases recorded in Somerset has now passed 2,000 following the latest sharp rise.
Figures for new confirmed cases in three of the four county council districts were in double digits in the latest test results released for the 24 hours to 5pm yesterday (Tuesday).
The district totals have now risen to Mendip 304 (an increase of seven); Sedgemoor 527 (up 15); Somerset West and Taunton 671 (a rise of 18); and South Somerset 504 (up 13).
The total number of cases so far recorded in the Somerset county council area now stands at 2,006.
