THERE has been another large rise in positive Covid-19 tests in the latest 24-hour period.
A total of 45 new confirmed cornavirus cases were recorded in the Somerset County Council area.
The district with highest number in the period to 5pm yesterday (Wednesday) was Somerset West and Taunton, with 19 cases.
There were 14 in Sedgemoor, seven in South Somerset and five in Mendip.
The district totals now stand at Mendip 309; Sedgemoor 541; SWT 690; and South Somerset 511.
The county total has risen to 2,051.
