THE Rivertones Harmony Chorus is looking forward to getting back to some sort of normality soon.
It was a year ago that the group's eight-week Learn to Sing course was curtailed five weeks in. It is hoped to resume when possible.
During lockdown the chorus has kept in touch through Zoom, carrying out meetings and quizzes and in the last few weeks starting to sing in small groups.
It is hoped to expand as the weeks progress, eventually meeting and rehearsing as a full chorus at Oakwood Church centre in Taunton.
The chorus has three bookings in August which members are working towards.
The first is at the Sidmouth Folk festival on August 1, followed by a two-day commitment at Taunton Flower Show on August 6 and 7 and then the Dunster Show on August 20.
A wedding taking place in Somerset originally booked the chorus for 2020 then rescheduled for summer 2021 has now rebooked for August 2022.
