MULTIPLE trees have fallen down overnight and are blocking roads in Somerset due to the strong winds across the county.
The Met Office issued a weather warning for high winds from 9pm yesterday (March 10) until 3pm today (March 11).

Many trees are blocking roads in Somerset, including the B3188 Elworthy Cross to Monksilver, where there is a road closure in place.

Other roads affected by fallen trees include:
- Summerhill Lane, West Compton - Tree across the road
- Cheddon Fitzpaine Road, Kingston St Mary - Tree blocking the road
- Quarry Lane, Leigh-on-Mendip - Tree across the road
- Mill Lane, Coxley - small tree blocking the road
