TWO pupils from a school in Taunton completed a 20-mile fundraising challenge last month.

Tom and Olly, from King's College in Taunton, wanted to raise awareness of the benefits of exercise on mental wellbeing.

They chose to raise money for Sporting Minds UK - a charity that raises awareness and provide support for positive mental health in sports people aged 16 to 30.

The pair, both in the lower sixth form, realised the devastating impact the coronavirus crisis has had on many charities and wanted to do something to help.

And so, despite the torrential rain during their chosen weekend in February, Tom and Olly completed the walk in the Thurlbear and Stoke St. Mary areas of Taunton.

The high winds and rain didn't dampen their spirit - and the kept smiling the whole way.

To date, the pair have raised an incredible £1,350.
