FIRE crews tackled a wood burning stove fire in a Somerset town last night (March 12).
Two fire engines headed to the scene - of what they then thought was a shed fire - in Frome at around 8pm.
There was minimal fire damage to the property, and crews installed a smoke alarm while they were there.
"Fire control received a call this evening reporting what appeared to be a shed on fire near the above location," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"Two fire engines from Frome were quickly mobilised to the scene.
"On arrival, crews confirmed that the fire was a wood burning stove in a domestic property that had spread to the insulation of the building.
"The fire was extinguished using buckets of water, a triple extension ladder, and small tools.
"The fire is believed to be accidental."
