General manager, Ronan Hunter, said: “After a tough year and three lockdowns, our team is raring to go, welcoming our guests to our new pop-up on Castle Green.

"In addition to all our favourite dishes from the kitchen, the bar will be serving classic cocktails, draught beer and a great selection of wines by the glass.

"BRAZZ on the Green will be the place to be in Taunton. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back.”

Guests will be able to enjoy a regular menu, consisting of fish n' chips, fish cakes, steaks and burgers, as well as Chef John Godfrey's daily specials.

BRAZZ on the Green will also be serving afternoon tea from 2.30pm, with finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam and home baked pastries.

Chairman of the business, Nick Chapman, added: “This has been an extremely challenging year for us and the whole of the hospitality sector.

"The Castle Hotel and BRAZZ are my family’s livelihood. All of us love what we do – and we’ve been doing it for seventy years.

"So it is a great joy to begin to see the end of this pandemic and return to the special pleasure we all take in showing our guests a good time when they visit.”
