A MAN has admitted illegally riding an e-scooter on a Taunton road.
Wayne Paul Webber, 34, pleaded guilty at Taunton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to driving a motor vehicle on Belvedere Road while banned from driving.
Webber, of Market Street, Highbridge, also admitted riding the scooter without insurance on the road, which is within yards of Taunton Police Station.
The offences occurred on December 10 last year during the ongoing year-long e-scooter trial in Taunton.
It is illegal to travel on a public road on an e-scooter without a valid driving licence.
Webber was released on conditional bail by magistrates and the case was adjourned until tomorrow (Thursday).
