A CONSULTANT eye surgeon at Musgrove Park Hospital ran the Bath Half Marathon this month without even visiting the city.
Ed Herbert has run four Bath Halfs, but the event was held virtually this year due to Covid restrictions.
Mr Herbert, who ran in aid of local charity Somerset Sight, said: "It has been a tough year for everyone, but especially for charities and those they support, so I have decided to raise funds for Somerset Sight.
"They do great work supporting people with impaired sight, enabling them to continue enjoying life."
Somerset Sight provides support and advice to anyone with sight loss and their families across the county.
Core services include a mobile advisory service, volunteer visiting service.
The charity relies on donations to continue to run vital services.
