COSTA Coffee is set to close its Wellington premises.
Staff have confirmed that they have been told the business is not making sufficient profit in the High Street cafe.
Reaction to the new has been mixed on Facebook.
Darren Parker posted: "The town can't keep losing shops like this."
Susan Kingsland said: "Wellington died ages ago."
Aisling Magill said: "Compared to a lot of town centres Wellington has a really lovely mix of independent traders and not as many empty shops as a lot of small towns do, so let’s just keep supporting them where we can and not get to down on our town."
Rachel Edge said: "Their coffee is terrible, and we have some amazing coffee locally. Hope the staff have something else to go to though."
Cheryl Mills said: "Aside from the fact I like a Costa and use this one regularly, the people that work there are a smashing bunch!"
