TWO men from Somerset flouted the Covid-19 restrictions by making a 200-mile trip to attend a friend's birthday party.
The Somerset duo travelled up from Somerset to Westcliff-on-Sea, in Essex, to celebrate with two friends.
Essex Police put a halt to the party and slapped a fixed penalty notice on the 32-year-old organiser at the event on Friday, March 12.
