POLICE searching for a missing Somerset man say they have found a body.
The body is believed to be that of a man officially named only as Daniel, aged 31, who disappeared from his home in Weston-super-Mare on Monday.
Formal identification has not yet been completed, but Daniel's family have been informed.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "Officers working to trace missing Daniel found a body in the Worlebury area of Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday, March 23.
"While formal identification has yet to be completed, Daniel’s family has been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
"We continue to make enquiries on behalf of the coroner."
Police had issued an appeal saying they were concerned for Daniel's welfare after he left home in his Ford transit van without any money or his phone.
At the time, a force spokesperson said Daniel's behaviour was "out of character".
