A MAN was rushed to hospital after police were called to reports of an assault at a home in Wellington.
Officers attended the address in Pear Tree Way shortly after 11am yesterday (Wednesday).
Paramedics also attended and the man was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, in Taunton, by ambulance.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident.
A Wellington Neighbourhood Policing Team spokesperson said: "Shortly after 11am yesterday, officers responded to a reported assault at an address in Pear Tree Way, Wellington.
"Paramedics also attended and conveyed one male from the address to hospital by ambulance.
"Two people have been arrested on suspicion of assault and are assisting officers with their enquires.
"If you have any information about what took place or you witnessed anything in this area shortly after 11am, please call the police on 101 and quote ref no 5221062882."
