A MAN has died in a crash involving a car and a large goods vehicle on the A358 at Ashill.
Police say the victim was a local man and that his family has been informed.
The collision happened at around 11.45am yesterday (Tuesday).
The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out
An Avon and Somerset Police spokeswoman said: "Sadly a local man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the A358 near Ilminster yesterday (Tuesday 30 March).
"His family has been informed and they are being supported by specially trained officers.
"Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."

It is the second fatality on a local road in three days after a man in his 30s died after his car crashed into a tree on the A38 at Beambridge on Sunday.
