PEOPLE living in a street in Wellington were bemused when they noticed a car abandoned in the middle of the road.
Apart from the fact it was causing an obstruction this morning (Thursday), they naturally wondered what the Ford Focus was doing there.
So, a number of residents in The Paddocks contacted the police.
Officers attended and discovered the vehicle was untaxed, uninsured and had no registered keeper.
They resolved the issue by arranging for the car to be moved.
A post on Wellington Neighbourhood Policing Team's Facebook page says: "(We) received reports of a vehicle causing an obstruction in The Paddocks, Wellington, this morning.
"On attendance officers found this Ford Focus abandoned in the middle of the road.
"The vehicle which was untaxed, uninsured and had no registered keeper was quickly removed from the road and the obstruction cleared."
