THE owners of a health spa near Taunton have announced they are not re-opening when the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
Cedar Falls Health Spa, in Bishops Lydeard, has been converted into a family home.
Owners Richard and Deborah Smith have not decided yet if they will ever re-open "in any capacity".
In a letter to customers headed 'Sad news', they say: "This pandemic has created huge implications for many businesses, and has been especially devastating for the hospitality sector.
"It is therefore with great sadness that we are having to inform you that Cedar Falls Health Spa will not be re-opening for the foreseeable future.
"As many of you are aware Cedar Falls was a family run business, and having been in operation since 1981, its closure has been an extremely difficult decision to make.
"The house at present has reverted back to a family home.
"We would like to thank you for your support over the years and we will keep you informed should we decide to re-open in any capacity in the future."
The letter adds that anyone who has a Cedar Falls voucher will be offered a refund up until June 30.
