A FORMER Queen's College student stars in a TV series which premieres on Netflix today (April 23).
Actor Freddy Carter, who attended the school in Taunton from 2001 until 2011, stars in Shadow and Bone.
He plays Kaz Brekker in the fantasy drama.
The show sees dark forces conspire against orphan mapmaker Alina Starkov when she unleashes an extraordinary power which could change the fate of her war-torn world.
Mr Carter starred in numerous school plays while he was at Queen's College, including Squealer in Animal Farm.

The Guardian has describe Mr Carter as "the most naturally satanic face since Jack Nicholson".
He has also starred in Pennyworth, Free Rein, 15 Days and Wonder Woman.
Mr Carter's brother Tom, who attended Queen's College from 1996 until 2006, is also an actor and has been in The Royals and Grantchester.
Their brother Charlie, who attended the school from 1998 until 2008, also dabbled in acting. However, he then joined the military.
Their mother, Cathy, was also school secretary.
