A SPECIAL event inviting the public to have a look around a new development in Taunton opens on Monday (May 17).
Quantock House, in Paul Street, is open to the public for the first time from Monday until the following Sunday (May 23) for those who may be looking to secure an apartment in the new building.
Appointments must be booked in advance with developer Platinum Skies, as part of enhanced Covid-safe measures in place for the benefit of visitors.
It will be the first time that the public has been able to see inside the building and reserve an apartment on a first-come, first-served basis ahead of the building’s scheduled completion in October.
The eight-storey luxury apartment complex in the town centre features purpose-built one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with balconies, which are available to people aged 55 and over.

Each low-maintenance apartment is designed with accessibility in mind with features including easy-to-use kitchens with energy-saving appliances, bathrooms with automatic lighting and step-free showers, and secure onsite underground parking, the developer said.
RESTAURANT: How the facilities at Quantock House will look
Prices start from £117,500 at Quantock House, based on the buyer paying 50% of the property’s full market value.
The homes are made affordable as part of a government-backed shared ownership scheme delivered in partnership with Homes England.
The development features a range of communal facilities including a restaurant and bar area, homeowners’ lounge, activity room, and treatment room, as well as outdoor seating in the landscaped gardens.
Quantock House will also have a dedicated onsite community manager who organises fun activities such as cheese and wine evenings, book clubs and quizzes, as well as offering practical and emotional support to the homeowners.
To reserve an appointment at the Quantock House open week, go to Platinumskies.co.uk or call 01202 040996.
