GET ready to meet some lifelike walking dinosaurs in Taunton this October.

Dinomania, a fun-filled dinosaur experience, including a Tyrannosaurus Rex, is coming to town.

The fun event is aimed at children aged three to 14 and is taking place at Taunton Vale Sports Club on Sunday, October 3.

But be warned - the incredible model dinosaurs are large and realistic, so there is a mild scare factor - keep this in mind when booking your place.

Once you're in, little ones can check out the mini-museum with real fossils, replicas and loads of fascinating facts.

The exhibit includes items from all your favourite dinosaurs, like the T-rex, Spinosaurus, Triceratops, and Allosaurus along with other dinosaurs. If you don't know, just ask your kids.

There will also be some marine reptiles and prehistoric creatures in the two-hour slots, which will take place three times on the day at 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm.

Ranger Chris and the team have limited numbers to 100 tickets available per session to ensure social distancing is adhered to.

People attending will be able to speak with Chris and the other rangers from Dinomania, who will teach you and your children everything you need to know about these amazing creatures.

Meet and greets will be available for the baby dinosaurs held by rangers - you'll be introduced to a Trixie the baby Triceratops, Nibbles the baby Raptor, a baby Brachiosaurus and even a cheeky Pteranodon.

Any brave Jurassic Park enthusiasts can meet the bigger, lifelike walking dinosaurs, including Ronnie the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Nancy the Raptor and Little Al, the bigger than life Allosaurus.

Dinomania and the magical egg show, a production that was made during lockdown will take place on a big screen, and guests can even take part in the dinosaur workshop hosted by Ranger Chris.

Tickets are £15 per person, with under-twos free, are available here.
