THE Covid rates of infection in the four Somerset districts are among the lowest in the country.
The latest figures based on the rolling seven-day data shows the rates of infection as:
- South Somerset, 3 people per 100,000 of population;
- Somerset West and Taunton 7.1 per 100,000;
- Sedgemoor 10.6 per 100,000;
- Mendip 1.7 per 100,000.
Across Somerset, the rate is 5.5 people per 100,000 of population.
The South West figure is 8.5 per 100,000.
The rate for the whole of England is 22 per 100,000, while UK-wide it is 23.3 per 100,000.
