A MAN say they are not treating as "suspicious" the death of a man 12 days after he was discovered with head injuries on a Somerset road.
The man, in his 40s, was found with serious head injuries on Paulton Road between Farrington Gurney and Paulton in the early hours of Sunday, May 30.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "Following our appeal on 11 June, a man found with head injuries on Paulton Road on Sunday 30 May has sadly now died as a result of his injuries.
"Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
"Police are not now treating the incident as suspicious.
"The matter has now been passed to the coroner who will carry out an inquest in due course."
The man was originally found by an ambulance crew at 1.47am on Paulton Road.
He was taken to hospital and his family were notified and offered support by the police.

At the time, officers appealed for witnesses in an attempt to determine how he sustained his injuries.
It was believed the man was picked up by a white BMW from The Lamb Inn, Paulton, just before midnight.
