MORE than nine out of 10 people in Somerset aged 50 and over have had both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, according to recent figures.
NHS England figures up to a week ago (Sunday, June 13) show the majority of the population in that age group have received the jab.
The breakdown for each district is as follows:
- MENDIP: 49,191 (93.2pc).
- SEDGEMOOR: 68,502 over 50s vaccinated (estimated 93.7 per cent of population.
- SOMERSET WEST AND TAUNTON: 68,502 (93.7pc).
- SOUTH SOMERSET: 74,853 (94.8pc).
Currently anyone over the age of 18 is able to book a jab or attend a walk-in clinic.
