MOTORISTS can expect some disruption this week on a relatively new road in Taunton as it already needs resurfacing.
The resurfacing work along with road markings is taking place on Trenchard Way - the one-time Northern Inner Distributor Road (NIDR) originally opened four years ago.
The work is set to take 10 working days.
Somerset County Council has outlined 11 major roadwork schemes starting in the county this week.
MONDAY (July 12).
Trenchard Way, Taunton: resurfacing and road markings, 10 working days.
Station Road, Wanstrow: resurfacing prep, 10 working days.
Benedict Street, Glastonbury: resurfacing prep, five working days.
Haymoor Lane, Coxley Wick: sewer connection, five working days.
WEDNESDAY (July 14).
Ashbrittle Road, Stawley: construction of haunch, two working days.
New Road Farm Lane, East Huntspill: resurfacing prep, two working days.
FRIDAY (July 16).
Donstan Road, Highbridge: resurfacing, two working days
New Road Farm Lane, East Huntspill: resurfacing, one day.
SATURDAY (July 17).
Culver Street, Stogursey: excavation of road for foul drain connection, six working days.
SUNDAY (July 18).
Portman Street and Kingston Road: resurfacing related to signals refurbishment, three working days.
