A BANNED motorist has received a further disqualification after being caught behind the wheel.
William Benjamin Hale, 29, of Kennel Field Drive, Bishop's Hull, was stopped while driving a van in Bridgwater on March 26 this year, just five months into his original ban.
Hale pleaded guilty to the latest offence when he appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court, and was given an 18-month driving ban.
He was handed a community order with 120 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
He received no separate penalty for driving while uninsured.
The court heard Hale's latest offences were in breach of a community order imposed for drink driving and while under the influence of two separate drugs.
The community order he received for the latest driving offence was applied to the breaches, which he admitted.
