A TAUNTON teenager's visit to Wiveliscombe ended up costing him £185.
Joseph Twigg, 18, of Winchester Street, pleaded guilty to assaulting another person by beating and assaulting an on-duty police officer on February 27 this year.
Twigg received a community order with 150 hours unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation to the officer, along with a £95 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
DAMAGING a woman's mobile phone has ended up costing a Donyatt man more than £1,000.
Richard Thirno Padfield, 27, of Donyatt Hill Estate, pleaded guilty at Taunton Magistrates' Court to the offence in Taunton on a date between October 19 and 23 last year.
At the same hearing, he was found guilty of assaulting by beating the same woman on the same day.
Padfield was given a community order along with a restraining order and told to pay his victim £1,159.71 compensation.
A TAUNTON woman admitted assaulting by beating an on-duty police officer in the town's Priory Bridge Road on May 28 last year.
Carly McCormack, 32, of Eastleigh Court, was fined £180 and ordered to pay the officer £50 compensation, as well as a £34 victim surcharge and £100 costs.
