A TAUNTON fisherman is appealing to anyone who may have information about his stolen fishing tackle to contact the police.
Andrew Harris said the equipment had a huge sentimental value as it had belonged to his cousin Brian Maycock, who died of cancer just days before his 40th birthday.
It was in the back of his van on Friday evening (January 4) before it was taken.
The tackle is worth around £500 and Mr Harris hopes anyone who may know of its whereabouts will contact the police.
He said: "The majority of the tackle had belonged to Brian and his family gave it to me after his death so I could carry on fishing, which he had loved to do."
You can contact the police on 0845-4567000.
