WORK is due to start next week on a massive upgrade to a major road feeding Taunton.
The £8.3million scheme will improve the capacity of Toneway, which is regularly jammed at peak times of the day.
Work is scheduled to start on Monday, August 9 after it was delayed in the spring due to the pandemic.
The project, which is due for completion at some stage in the summer of 2022, will see the closure of a section of the A38 Bridgwater Road north of the Toneway at the Creech Castle junction.
To that end, Chris Haig sent his drone up and took these great photos of the junction from the air.
The Toneway scheme is part of the £19million project to improve Junction 25 of the M5 at Taunton.
