A DISHEVELLED Prime Minister was spotted at Taunton Station on Sunday.
Boris Johnson, surrounded by his entourage, apparently cut short his holiday in the South West to return to London as the Afghanistan crisis deepened.
Former Taunton Times reporter Matt Chorley, now a presenter on Times Radio, tweeted: "PM spotted at Taunton station heading back to London, though his shirt was still in holiday mode."
It is believed Mr Johnson abandoned his holiday after just one day so he could rush back to the capital.
He has chaired a number of emergency COBRA meetings after the Taliban took back control of Afghanistan following the decision to pull out US and UK troops after 20 years.
British nationals are being evacuated, while Afghans who worked for UK forces are also being offered asylum here.
