FRIENDS of a keen golfer who died from Covid took part in a charity day in his memory.
A total of £2,500 was raised for Love Musgrove at the Acorns Golf Society competition at Oake Manor Golf Club.
The event was organised in honour of Acorns founder Peter Litten, who died in hospital in Spain in March after contracting the virus last New Year’s Eve.
Acorns committee member Roy Sully, who helped organise the fundraiser, said: “I’ve known Peter for 40 years.
“He was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed living life to the full.
“We were all saddened by his death and wanted to do something in his memory.”
Mr Sully added: “We’d like to thank everybody who helped towards raising the money for the charity and Oake Manor Golf Club for letting us use the facilities.”
Love Musgrove is the official charity of Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital.
It exists to fund things above and beyond what the NHS covers to continue to improve the experience of patients admitted to hospital in a “comfortable, engaging environment for patients”.
