POLICE have been clocking speeding motorists on a road between Taunton and Bridgwater with "a long history of serious and fatal road traffic collisions"
The limit on the A38 at Thurloxton was cut to 50mph due to the number of incideints.
Yet police with mobile speed cameras have recorded a motorcyclist doing 89mph and a van going at 69mph.
A tweet from Avon and Somerset Police's roads policing unit says: "Work continues on the A38 Thurloxton.
"A long history of serious and fatal road traffic collisions here resulted in the limit being reduced to 50mph.
"Yet we still see excess and dangerous speeds here which puts them and others at serious risk."
