A LANDMARK town centre Taunton pub building is up for sale.
The Grade II*-listed building in East Street is on the market with commercial specialists Greenslade Taylor Hunt.
In 2015, it was revamped and launched as Handsome Harry's bar and was latterly the Retro nightspot, and a spokesperson for GTH said it was in a busy spot.
"48 East Street, Taunton, is a double fronted building, set on one of the town’s busiest thoroughfares," they said.
"It is on the market at a guide price of £405,000.
"Near neighbours include national brands such as Sainsbury’s, Wetherspoons, Costa Coffee and Primark.
"Currently configured as an open plan bar and nightclub with two-bedroom flat above, there is the opportunity for a range of uses, subject to planning."
The nightclub and bar areas extend to 2,376 sq ft and the flat to 980 sq ft.
The Grade II* listing recognises the mid-18th Century building’s particular importance.
Around 6 % of listed properties fall within this category. It is listed for its special architectural interest.
