AS EA Sports FIFA 22 early access is now out, we wanted to take a look at the highest rated players with Somerset ties.
The highest rated player from Somerset is a current England international, any ideas?
“It’s a huge honour." @OfficialTM_3 tells us what it means to him to be made Aston Villa captain. 🤩

Tyrone Mings - 78 rated - Aston Villa
That's right, Tyrone Mings from Bath is our highest rated player.
The former Millfield School student has increased his footballing profile significantly in the last few seasons and is now a 78 rated centre back in FIFA 22.
With a 72 pace rating he will be a solid choice in your starter squad on Ultimate Team should you decide to go down a Premier League route.
Jack Butland - 73 rated - Crystal Palace
The second highest rated Somerset footballer is Palace goalkeeper Jack Butland.
He was born in Clevedon and attended Clevedon Community College and is probably best known for his time spent at Stoke.
Butland is an experienced Premier League keeper and his 73 rating may mean you will see him a lot in FIFA players silver squads.
Jordan Storey - 68 rated - Preston North End
Former Chard Town defender Jordan Storey is next on the list, he currently plays for Preston North End in the Championship.
FIFA have given a respectable 68 rating for the 22 -year-old centre back who was born in Yeovil.
He may not be on the radar of Ultimate Team players, but for Career Mode he is a great option for a cheap, young, and high potential defender.
Ben Hamer - 67 rated - Swansea City
Up next is the current Swansea City goalkeeper Ben Hamer, who was born in Chard and attended Holyrood Community School.
Hamer was the third choice goalkeeper for Leicester City when they won the Premier League, he transferred to Swansea this seaason and made his debut for them in the League Cup.
If you are doing a Career Mode in the lower leagues of England then Hamer may just be the right man between the sticks for you.
Archie Collins - 63 rated - Exeter City
Twenty-year-old Archie Collins is next up on the list, he was born in Taunton and grew up in Bridgwater.
He has been in and around the Exeter first team since 2018 and has earned himself a 63 rating on the next edition of FIFA.
He has 74 potential in the Career Mode game and such makes him an exciting prospect for FIFA managers.
Tom Nichols - 63 rated - Crawley Town
Now this one seems harsh, a 63 rating for a striker who scored 15 goals for Crawley Town last year and won the club's player of the year.
Nichols grew up in Wellington and attended Court Fields School.
We truly think he deserved a slightly higher rating, that being said, it is a plus three increase from his 60 rated card last year.
Early release is currently available to EA Play members, then from the September 27, anynone who has pre-ordered the game has access.
The game is available to everyone from October 1.
Let us know if you will be using any of the Somerset players this year, or if we missed anyone!
