A TAUNTON author held a signing for his new children's book last Saturday (November 13).
Spid the Spider Has a Day Off is John Eaton's first book for children aged between five and eight-years-old.
A lifesize Spid the Spider was outside Brendon Books in Taunton, while John signed copies of his book inside.
John said: "I was very pleased with all the parents and children’s responses.
"Spid is a decent and fun character but has flaws, his girlfriend Bid keeps him on the right track."
Spid the Spider books are about a spider, call Spid, who has a series of adventures.
In each book, there is an important life lesson. Alongside the books, Spid also sings two songs about his adventures and these can be accessed by QR codes on the pages.
The books are illustrated by Melissa Shephard.
Spid the Spider Battles a Pandemic, the second book in the series, is out at the end of November.
