RICHARD Huish College student Farran Gregory has been invited to take part in the DiSE Swimming Offshore Camp in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Over 100 swimmers will make the trip to train at the 15,000-seater Hamdan Sports Complex from 6th - 14th February 2022.
The former Heathfield Community School student is part of a pool of talented swimmers that will represent England and fly out along with the Swim England team and coaches.
The trip will provide a special experience for athletes as they will be part of a high-performance training camp environment and will then compete in the Middle East Open and Junior Championships (MEOJC), with the times recorded at the competition being submitted to rankings for formal recognition by Swim England.
The camp will provide swimmers high performance habits, education from workshops and development as they begin to take the next steps from youth swimming into post-18 options and senior swimming.
Another special element to the camp is that those involved will be representing their country which is something very special for anyone at any level.
Farran is in his second year at Huish studying the Extended Diploma in Sport which has fed into his passion for swimming.
