GLASTONBURY headliner Billie Eilish has been nominated in two categories for the 2022 BRIT Awards.
The nominations, which were announced by Maya Jama and Clara Amfo on Saturday during an hour-long ITV special called The Brits Are Coming, feature the most women in more than a decade.
Eilish, 20, has been nominated in the best international artist and best international song categories.
Her nomination in the best international song category is for 'Happier Than Ever', which was released as the sixth single from her 2021 album of the same name.
The song has also received four nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards, which will be held in Los Angeles in January.
The American singer-songwriter won the BRIT Award for best international female solo artist at the 2020 ceremony at the O2 Arena.
At the same ceremony, she performed 'No Time to Die', the theme song of this year's delayed Bond film, with her brother Finneas.
Last month, the BRITs introduced gender-neutral awards after artists including Sam Smith and Will Young said the previous system excluded non-binary artists.
Smith did not enter their album Love Goes for last year's awards as they felt unable to as the categories were gender-based.
Now, awards like best international female solo artist have been scrapped and replaced by awards with gender-neutral titles.
Despite some concerns that the change would result in women being overlooked for awards, the new system has seen more female nominees than any BRIT Awards since 2010.
Eilish has been joined by 12 other artists who received two nominations, including Dua Lipa, Wolf Alice and Lil Nas X.
Adele, Ed Sheeran, Dave and Little Simz have four nominations each, while Central Cee and Sam Fender have three each.
Adele, Sheeran, Dave, Little Simz and Fender are up for the inaugural artist of the year award.
Eilish has been joined by Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, and Lil Nas X in the best international artist category.
The Glastonbury headliner is up against 14 other artists for best international song.
Other nominees include Rodrigo's 'Good 4 U', 'Stay' by Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber, and Måneskin's Eurovision Song Contest-winning track 'I Wanna Be Your Slave'.
Other nominees across the categories include Joy Crookes, Coldplay, Little Mix and KSI, while Sir Elton John received his first BRIT nomination in 20 years in the song of the year category for his collaboration with Dua Lipa and Pnau, 'Cold Heart'.
In October, Eilish became the first 2022 headliner confirmed by Glastonbury Festival.
A spokesperson for the festival said: "We are very excited to confirm that Billie Eilish will headline the Pyramid Stage on the Friday night at Glastonbury 2022 on June 24, to become the festival’s youngest ever solo headliner."
The performance will be the 'Bad Guy' singer's first UK festival headline performance.
She performed on the Other Stage at Glastonbury 2019 following the release of her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.
