A COUNTRY house hotel in Exmoor has reached the finals of the Bristol Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards.
Dunkery Beacon Country House Hotel in Wootton Courtenay near Dunster is a finalist in the Small Hotel of the Year category and the Restaurant of the Year category for its Coleridge Restaurant.
John Bradley, who runs the multi-award-winning boutique hotel with his wife Jane, said: “What great news this is to kick off our 2022. We are absolutely thrilled to be named as finalists in these prestigious awards and it is a real testament to all the hard work everyone on the team puts in.
“We pride ourselves on the beautiful accommodation we provide and we feel our rooms are really top-notch and wonderful places for our guests to really relax.
“We are also over the moon that our Coleridge Restaurant has also been recognised, as we work hard to create the delicious food we produce and all of the locally sourced ingredients we use.
“We all have our fingers crossed for the awards night, where we hope to pick up the Gold award.”
The awards ceremony will take place virtually on Thursday, February 17, with a face-to-face event to follow later in the year.

Now in its sixth year, the Bristol Bath and Somerset Awards are run by Services for Tourism, which also runs other tourism awards schemes across Southern England.

John has more than 30 years of experience in catering, notching up numerous top chef roles in this country and overseas.
Jane also has a background in hospitality and worked in the wine industry for more than 19 years.
