STUDENTS from Taunton School have made their own cards to celebrate the 101st birthday of Edna Clayton, who lives in Glasgow.
Edna celebrated her 100th birthday on her own last year due to coronavirus restrictions, leading to staff at her care home launching a campaign to make her 101st birthday extra special.
People from across the UK are now sending birthday cards to Edna, who has never had a birthday party before.
In the space of three days, she received around 4,500 cards.
Edna will celebrate her 101st birthday on Monday, January 31 with a trip on a party bus and afternoon tea with her son and fellow care home residents.
A group of Taunton School students heard Edna's story and decided to get involved by designing, creating and writing their own cards.

"The cards were stunning and the words inside incredibly thoughtful.
