A VEHICLE owner who failed to show at court has been hit with a £1,346 court bill.
Adam Jozef Janicki, 34, was found guilty in his absence at Taunton Magistrates' Court of a motoring offence.
The court heard that Janicki, of Priory Avenue, Taunton, failed to provide information relating to the driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £620 costs with a £66 victim surcharge.
He also received six penalty points on his licence.
MICHAEL Cooper, 47, was handed a six month driving ban for a similar offence.
Cooper, of Millside Crescent, Bridgwater, had pleaded not guilty.
After magistrates ruled that he was guilty he was given six penalty points, which took him over the totting up limit and saw him banned from getting behind the wheel for six months.
He was fined £180 with a £34 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
