POLICE have launched an appeal after an attempted theft in Bridgwater.
The incident happened at around 1pm on Saturday, January 8.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said the would-be thief was witnessed by staff in a shop attempting to steal hundreds of pounds worth of clothes.
The spokesperson added: "He left the store empty-handed after being challenged."
Meanwhile, police have issued a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to help with their investigation.
He is described as Asian, aged in his 20s, with short dark hair, wearing a large blue puffer jacket, black jeans, and black shoes.
