POLICE have published images of a van they pulled over in Bridgwater yesterday (Thursday, February 3) - and it's easy to see why.
The vehicle was being driven with a virtually non-existent tyre.
The driver claimed to be helping a mate and was on his way to get it repaired.
Unfortunately the wheel left marks on the road surface.
The driver has been reported for driving without insurance and driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.
The vehicle was sezied by officers.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police's roads policing unit said: "This van was being driven in Bridgwater yesterday with the tyre/wheel EXACTLY as in the picture!!
"Driver was helping a friend and on his way to get it fixed, leaving marks in the road surface."
