A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Wincanton has been ordered to pay £297 after being clocked at 97mph on the A303 dual carriageway.
Joshua Edward Nye exceeded the 70mph speed limit on April 30, 2021, when he was three miles east of Sparkford.
He pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure and was sentenced by Bath Magistrates' Court on Thursday, February 3.
Nye was fined £173 and told to pay a £34 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £90.
He was also handed five penalty points.
