THE locations with the most expensive homes and those with the cheapest homes in the TA postcode area have been revealed.
Hockworthy, near Wellington, has seen average house prices rise above £1million, while those in a Burnham-on-Sea address went for an average of just over £60,000.
The figures have been calculated by home sale company Property Solvers using data supplied by the Land Registry since early 2016.
Hockworthy (TA21) topped the 'rich list' with four properties sold for an average £1,078,750, followed by the village of Oake (TA4), where five homes went for an average of £878,200, and Parsonage Lane, Kingston St Mary (TA2), where three properties averaged £866,666.
At the other end of the scale, Homeland House, in Rectory Road, Burnham-on-Sea (TA8) saw 13 properties sold for an average of £61,915), with 21 homes in Hill View, South Road, Brean (TA8) put buyers back an average £75,380.
Property Solvers co founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.
“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property in Spaxton (TA5) sold for £4,050,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £52,500 and under on Halswell Close, (TA6), High Street (TA6) and Friarn Street (TA6) - (the last three in Bridgwater.”
