THERE promises to be some fantastic entertainment at this summer's Taunton Flower Show as it celebrates 190 years.

People are being advised to book their tickets early for the event in Vivary Park on Friday and Saturday, August 5 and 6, with some great savings on offer.

You'll be able to take advantage of a Tier 2 discount ticket offer off up to 30 per cent off the gate price by booking online before the end of April.

Tickets for the Friday are £14 for adults, saving £6 on the day, and £11 entry for the Saturday, saving £4.

Children go free, but require a ticket, which can be booked with an adult ticket.

Tickets are limited, and on-the-day tickets cannot be guaranteed, so order now by clicking HERE to avoid disappointment.

The competition schedule, available to download or from Hatchers, Taunton Visitor Centre and Monkton Elm Garden Centre, has just been released and has something for everyone, from novice gardeners to children’s classes.

The competition tent is one of the highlights of the show along with the floral marquee, arena acts, live music, entertainment, shopping areas with an array of traders including gardening, interiors, clothing and many more, craft village, a children’s area, designer gardens, food village, Gardener’s Question Time, wine tent and plenty of catering stands.

Membership is available from the website at £30 for a single member or £40 for joint members.

Included in the price are two days entry to the show, early entry on the Friday, show programme, exclusive entry to the member’s area and other benefits.

Organisers are appealing for volunteers to help with a variety of roles such as administration, working tills, manual work, assisting the public, selling programmes and raffle tickets, or even helping to set up in the park before show days. Contact Beccy Fox, volunteers organiser on volunteers@tauntonfs.co.uk if you fancy signing up as a volunteer.

As well as the website at www.tauntonfs.co.uk the latest Taunton Flower Show news is available on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Visitors should be aware that due to new restrictions this year, the show will only offer parking for current members, but the park and ride will be running on both days and there is a large selection of car parks throughout the town.
