BRISTOL-based theatre company The Wardrobe Ensemble is bringing its award-winning show South Western to the Brewhouse Theatre next month.
The show follows Mae as she picks her way through her past in search of answers armed with a shotgun, a packet of picked onion Monster Munch, and an expired 16-25 rail card.
En route, she meets Anne Parsley, a maverick drifter, and together they wend their way through wind and rain to reach the final frontier of the south west: The Wayfarer’s Arms.
The show is set across the south west of England and sees characters take in local sights including “the mean streets of Bristol”, Cheddar Gorge, the cliffs of Cornwall, Wookey Hole, the Eden Project, and Easton-in-Gordano services.

A spokesperson for The Wardrobe Ensemble said: “If you see one show this spring, then South Western should be it.
“It is one hell of a ride, a high-energy revenge odyssey, packed full of notorious villains, uneasy alliances, doomed love affairs and thigh-slapping folk music.
“A spaghetti western with Cornish pasties, it is coming to Taunton Brewhouse courtesy of Bristol based award-winning theatre company The Wardrobe Ensemble on 14-16 April.”
There will be an informal Q&A after the show on Friday, April 15, and an acting workshop on Saturday, April 16 for aspiring actors.
