TRAINS between Bristol and Taunton were delayed this morning (March 4) following a trespassing incident on Dunball Level Crossing.
National Rail tweeted about the incident to say there were disruptions between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton.

Whilst services return to normal, trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes. #Bridgwater
In another tweet, the company then said “lines have reopened following an earlier trespass incident” and added services were going to be “delayed by up to 30 minutes”.

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “I can confirm that the driver of the Penzance – Cardiff Central service brought his train to a stop as there was a trespasser on Dunball Level Crossing.
“Police attended to remove the person just after 11am and normal working resumed at 11.18. No one was injured during this incident.”
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "British Transport Police were called to the line near Dunball at 10.38am this morning (4 March) following reports of concern for the welfare of a man.
"Officers attended and the man was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital for assessment."
