TWO crews from Bridgwater Fire Station were sent to a blaze in a bathroom in a home in the town this afternoon (Saturday, March 5).
A 999 call was rung in reporting smoke issuing from a bathroom window of a property in Marlborough Avenue at around 2.30pm.
On arrival, crews confirmed the fire had started in a bedroom of the two-storey home and involved bedding.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The occupants had tried to extinguish the fire before we arrived.
"However crews used the following to ensure it was out - hose reel jet, fire bucket, thermal image camera and small tools.
"The fire was accidental and the damage was confined to the bedroom."
