POLICE seized dozens of cannabis plants and a quantity of cash during an early morning raid in Minehead.
Avon and Somerset Police's West Somerset Neighbourhood Policing Team swooped on a property in the town yesterday (Sunday, March 6).
Officers were backed up by a force drone, police dogs and an operational support unit.
A force spokesperson said a total of 44 cannabis plants were seized.
One person was arrested.
A tweet by Minehead and West Somerset Neighbourhood Policing said: "Some residents in Minehead had an early wake up call this morning (Sunday) when the West Somerset Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by @ASPdrones @ASPoliceDogs and Operational Support Unit carried out a drugs warrant at an address.
"Forty-four cannabis plants seized, along with a quantity of cash.
"One arrest made and enquires ongoing."
