A CHARD man has been given a community order with 80 hours unpaid work for assault by beating.
Haydn Michael Parsons, 22, of Dwelly Close, pleaded guilty at Taunton Magistrates' Court to committing the offence on November 18 2019.
He also admitted failing to surrender to the court having been released on bail.
There was no separate penalty for that offence, but he was handed a £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
A BRIDGWATER man admitted he breached a community order when he failed to attend an unpaid work appointment Norbert Jan Cybulski, 21, of Sheridan Close, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £60 costs.
CHRISTOPHER David William Cattel pleaded guilty to speeding at over 60mph at Burlescombe.
Cattel, 23, of Brookfield, Red Ball, was fined £441, with a £44 victim surcharge and 85 points.
He was given six penalty points on his driving licence.
