FEDERICA Smith-Roberts is the LibDem leader of Somerset West and Taunton Council.
She said: "We need to continue to raise the awareness of the achievements of women and ensure that we call out bias and misogyny at every opportunity.
"As a woman I have experienced both and not only do we need to challenge it, but also ensure there is a positive visibility of women so there are great role models for future generations in all aspects of society."
